Forum for Translators: Identity theft scam - please beware

Identity theft scam - please beware               [Reply to this message]
Sender: Marzenka Krejcirik-Sieradzki 07-09-2012 12:27

Hello everyone, I'm writing to let you know that I've been a victim of identity theft and to warn you about these unscrupulous perpetrators. In fact, several agencies (worldwide unfortunately) have sent me evidence proving that a scammer sent them applications using my identity and CV. They merely made very slight changes to my email address in their applications and pretended to be me: PLEASE BEWARE of Marzenka.Krijcirik@gmail.com, Marzenka.Krejcirik@hotmail.com and lolleeta@gmail.com, but also of the agency muchdo (www.muchdo.com). My only REAL email address is Marzenka.KrEjcirik@GMAIL.COM.
I have already filed a complaint at the police station and I intend to sue them, but since they've sent applications worldwide, I thought I should warn you about them. Thank you for your time and understanding.

I now have enough evidence proving that the companies LanguageMet and muchdo are behind these fraudulent actions. Please also beware of so-called project managers called Amena Amra, Abeer Hams and Thierry Darlis. If you've been a victim of these identity thieves, please don't hesitate to contact me so that we can unite against them. Thank you.

I invite any agency or any outsourcer that has received offers from these two fake email addresses to contact me at my two genuine email addresses abdsellal@yahoo.com and iagsellal@yahoo.com so that I can I can recover the IP address of this small gangster, grim individual and poor devil.

Once I have the IP address, I can locate the residence country of this scammer and then forward to Interpol.

I rely on the collaboration of fellow translators and agencies so that we can at least reduce the nuisances of such machinations from just poor devils.

Dear all

I am really astonished and surperised; there was a perfect long- term collaboration between me and Marzenka and I paid her all her money, I was a perfect client for her as she was a perfect translator for me; I didn't make any abuse for her. Regards what she said, there was a project manager he who send these applications without our company permission and now he doesn't work in the company. I am really surprised why see mention my name and I am sorry to hear these abuse words.

I repeat, Amena Amra and Language Met are not to be trusted!

Read an extensive thread about them by clicking on the Linkedin link below and you will see for yourselves (I suggest you read it too, Amena Amra, and get rid of your deceiving post here on Translation directory in which you state you're innocent)

Dear translator,

Being professional means that you should get in touch with the administration department of Languagemet for verification or before writing any bad comments about us.

LM provides marketing services on a wide scale. LM does not provide marketing for any CV without approval. We apply the system of JV that is very common on today's Internet and management as part of well-organized group work activities.

Simply, once again, any translator that is not willing to be involved, LM simply stops marketing of his CV. So using any CV for marketing takes place by having agreement and authorization from translators.

If any translator does not trust us, he or she is advised not to work with us.

Simply, instead of bidding and wasting our time to wait for job advertisements to bid, we are involved in marketing and group work which gives faster results.
Once again, if you do not believe in us, I advise you not to work with us.

We take care of : -
Translators
Quality
Clients
Payments
And the list is endless.

Do not act like robots that is to read without getting back for verification. Would you believe someone that says that he or she accepts projects of 5 USD per source word?

I should repeat the information for those who are narrow-minded, if you do not trust us, do not work with us. Simply, we have been working for a long time and at the same moment no business can survive if services is bad. We have a growing number of project managers and translators on a daily basis.

Thank you in advance.

I saw my name on your message, linked to "so-called project managers called Amena Amra, Abeer Hams" . I just want to clarify the situation and clear my name. I have no idea who these persons are (scammers???) . I may have been contacted by these people to work for them but I have never had planned any kind of scam on anybody. I was a victim of a scam myself ( I lost around $ 2000). I know what it is like.
Thanks for your time

Marzenka, they used your identity without you first signing this:

Authorization and Agreement

Can you give us permission, authorization and agreement in order for us to send your CV to our clients?
If yes, we will remove your contact details to avoid direct contacts with clients. In this case, we will use a free email which will be put inside your CV in order to receive projects and therefore we will reply on your behalf.

We can also email your certificates if needed to clients on your behalf. We will give you the projects and in cases when you are not available, we will give the projects to other translators.

If you agree, you will be considered as a close team member and consequently you will be eligible for any developmental plan. This is part of group work based on mutual cooperation because the translation market is full of competition.

Please let me know so that we start work. If you agree, sign this authorization and agreement document.
